Burnley play Nottingham Forest tonight in a vital league clash at the City Ground. The Clarets are still just 2 points above the relegation zone following last nights results. Burnley travel to Nottingham today for the vital clash with relegation rivals Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. The Clarets haven't won at Forest since 1963 and have failed to win an away game since beating Stoke back in September. These two runs have to end at some stage so every Burnley fan will be hoping that tonight is the night.

Since we gained promotion to this division we have lost every game at the City Ground and have actually failed to score a single goal in each of the 3 games that have been played.

The game will have numerous connections with both Robbie Blake and Ian Moore having played for Forest whilst Gareth Taylor, David Johnson and Danny Sonner have all had spells at the Turf. Gareth Taylor scored for Forest against us back in September and David Johnson got the second in their 2-0 win over us at the City Ground last season.

Stan Ternent will make changes from the side that was well beaten at the weekend with Mo Camara and Graham Branch available after missing Coventry through suspension. Lee Roche is still missing whilst David May and Glen Little will both have fitness tests after picking up knocks on Saturday.

I would expect Camara to take the place of Alan Moore at left back whilst Graham Branch will probably replace Paul Weller on the left. If Glen Little is unfit to start then either Weller or Luke Chadwick will take his place on the right.

David Johnson came off the bench for Forest at the weekend and will probably stay on the bench for tonights clash. Keeper Darren Ward is still out injured so deputy Barry Roche will continue in goal. Marlon King is still suspended so Gareth Taylor should be partnered by Nicky Barmby up front.
