Burnley Vs Stoke City

Burnley welcome Stoke City to Turf Moor this afternoon and will be hoping to bring to an end a dreadful run. Memories of the 2-1 away victory earlier in the season may help - when May and Chadwick both had blinders! Burnley are forced in to at least two changes for this match: Glen Little and Arthur Gnohere are both suspended.

Even if David May does return from illness, the clarets may be forced to field a less than full strength bench once more.

The clarets have lost their last three matches and have dropped to 19th place in the league - quite simply this is a must win game.

Stoke meanwhile have the luxury of naming a unchanged squad from that which got a draw against PNE with a last minute penalty. Danger men include John Eustace and Ade Akinbiyi. Manager Tony Pulis has spoken about his respect for Stan Ternent and how this game will be tough for his side. Perhaps he has not been watching us over the last few weeks!!!

The Burnley squad is expected to be:

Jensen, West, Branch, May, Camara, Weller, Chaplow, Grant, Chadwick, Blake, Moore, McGregor, Pilkington, O'Niell, McEveley, Roche.

Referee: Dermot Gallagher

Prediction: More a hope than anything - a clean sheet!
