Burnley's good run ended against league leaders West Bromwich Albion with a 2-1 defeat. James O'Connor playing against his former club scored the quickest goal in England after just 2 minutes 50, but that was not enough for the Clarets as West Brom's quality showed through at the end.

Bostjan Cesar equalised on 26 minutes and Roman Bednar got the winner on the hour mark.

Brian Jensen, Burnley

Brian Jensen saved a second half penalty but Burnley could not make their hosts pay for the miss.

There was two debuts as both Cole and Randall came off the bench in the second half.

The result saw Burnley slip to tenth in the table on 43 points from 30 games, but just 2 points behind sixth placed Ipswich Town.

Burnley will bounce back . Losing 2-1 against the leaders is not everything lost . They have the quality ,the finesse and the determination to forge forward .
