Preview -v- Cleckheaton
By Elliott Josypenko November 4 2005
In all honesty, I haven't a clue what sort of side Bees will put for this game. Facing a lower league side is always a bit of a risk especially if some reserves are played. This is a real David and Goliath match except Bees could possibly on the wrong side of a historical upset.

In all honesty, I haven't a clue what sort of side Bees will put for this game. Facing a lower league side is always a bit of a risk especially if some reserves are played. This is a real David and Goliath match except Bees could possibly on the wrong side of a historical upset. Phil has a history of playing reserves in the cup (Doncaster last season) and so I wouldn't be surprised if a largely WannaBee side get a runout. One exception to this is Paul Knight, who will almost certainly start behind the scrum.

Pertemps Bees scrum-half Paul Knight is set to make an immediate return to action in the Powergen Trophy fifth round tie at Cleckheaton on Saturday November 5.
Knight has not played since the defeat at London Welsh on September 17 when he was sent off for stamping in injury time. The former Sale player was suspended for four weeks by the club and for a further two weeks when he appeared before a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel two weeks ago.
The suspension expired tooday and Knight is expected to reclaim his place in the starting linbe-up from player/coach Ben Harvey who has worn the number nine shirt in his absence.
Pertemps Bees also hope to be strengthened by the return from injury of centres Simon Martin and Adam Billig, lock Rob Hurrell and flanker Tu Tamarua.
Martin suffered a knee injury at Exeter three weeks ago, Billig took a blow to the head against Cornich Pirates last week, Hurrell has been sidelined for three weeks by a back injury and Tamarua has missed two games because of a rib injury.
But former England winger Tom Beim has rejoined the casualty list having aggravated a groin injury and damaged a knee in last week's defeat at Bedford. The former Gloucester and Sale player, a summer recruit from Italian club Viadana, is likely to be out of action for at least five weeks.

Finally, a game I can make! Hope to see everyone there. Give me a shout!

My prediction: 38-16 to Bees
