Sam struck twice for Wrexham to end Luton's faint hopes of making the
Second Division play-offs.
The Trinidad and Tobago international headed
Wrexham ahead 10 minutes before half-time at the Racecourse Ground.
Midway through the second half Luton found
themselves further behind as Sam fired home Darren Ferguson's pass.
Luton's hopes were boosted a minute later when
Steve Howard halved the deficit with his 14th goal of the season, but
Wrexham held out.
The visitors needed to win to have any chance of
getting into the end-of-season deciders, but could not convert any of
the chances they created after Howard's strike. |
