Injuries annoying

Wrexham are becoming fustrated with the amount of injuries at the Racecourse with two more players having to come off due to knocks in the 2-1 defeat to Hartlepool. Dennis Lawrence has expressed his dissapointment in the injuries that are not helping Wrexhams end to the season
Wrexham defender Dennis Lawrence says injuries are hitting hard, after the Dragons lost two more players in the defeat to Hartlepool on Monday. "We're short with injuries at the moment and then you've got Jim (Whitley) coming off, you've got Carlos (Edwards) coming off," he said to BBC SPORT.

"So it makes it even more difficult, but we've decided to stick together.

"We gave our all against Hartlepool, everybody could see that we tried to go on and be positive."

Wrexham lost Whitley and Edwards to hamstring strains within minutes of each other, just after the half-hour mark at the Racecourse Ground.

Youngster Simon Spender replaced Trinidadian international Edwards in defence, although Hartlepool seized on the disruptions to open the scoring through Darrell Clarke soon after.

Neil Danns doubled the visitors' lead after 63 minutes with a scruffy shot through a crowded penalty box.

Paul Barrett gave Wrexham hope nine minutes later when the ball fell nicely for him following Chris Llewellyn's cross from the right.

Lee Jones went close twice, with Matty Crowell also trying his luck, in a frantic end to the match but Hartlepool held out
