March 10 2003
Wolves fan Lea profiles Wolves top scorer Nathan Blake.

Nathan Blake signed for Wolves on 13th September 2001, and soon became an important member of the team. He scored against Stockport County on his debut and soon became a hit with the fans at Molineux.

He scored a total of 11 goals in his first season, second leading goal scorer to Dean Sturridge’s 21, who he formed a great partnership with.

Injuries have meant that he has not had the same partner upfront this season dude to injuries and loss of form to other strikers, but he has still managed to equal his goal tally of last season in only 18 appearances, 1 of which from the Bench.

Blakes good performances last season earned him the legends shirt this season, he now wears the number 9 shirt, and has had a good start to the season before being sidelined with a foot injury.

Blake is a welsh international and has been capped 22 times and has scored 4 goals. He played an important part in Wales’ world cup campaign by scoring in 2 important matches (vs Norway & Poland).
