Regular followers of Forest will all agree that despite having obvious ability Marlon has flattered to deceive since making his Reds debut in the final game of the 1997/98 season at West Brom.
Occasional flashes of sheer brilliance are overshadowed by the strikers frustrating inconsistency! When on form Harewood has the ability to frighten the life out of opposition defenders whereas if off form the only people he frightens are the fans sitting behind the goal running for cover after another wayward goal attempt!
Compared to other products of the Forest Academy Harewood seems to have been around forever, people often forget he is still very young and still has plenty of time on his side to become the top class striker we all know he could be.
Having been given an extended run in the side during the second half of last season Marlon started to take responsibility for goalscoring duties following the departure of Stern John to Birmingham, firing 11 goals to make sure The Reds werent dragged into a relegation dogfight.
A return of just 4 goals this term is frankly dissapointing (3 of these came in the home game against Gillingham) and a marked improvement is required if Marlon wants to keep his regular place in the side. However, Marlon's game doesnt just revolve around goalscoring, and if he can continue his development as an all round footballer he could go all the way!
