Hartson Future In Doubt
By Martin Williams
August 12 2004
The future of John Hartson at Celtic is in doubt after it emerged that the £6m striker has not been in discussion with the club about his contract which has just 11 months left to run.
Hartson could leave Celtic Park on a free transfer should his contract be allowed to run out.

His agent Jonathan Barnett told the Scottish Daily Mail: "There have been no talks between myself and Celtic this summer and there are none planned.

"I am out of the country now on holiday until September so definitely nothing will happen before the end of the transfer window.

"There is nothing being said and I did not meet them at the end of last season as some people stated.

"But we're happy with the situation let's just leave it at that."
