Wales captain Gary Speed is set to join Bolton Wanderers within the next 24 hours. Speed was keen to stay at Newcastle as we reported yesterday but it seems he will now leave St James' Park.

Wales captain Gary Speed is set to join Bolton Wanderers within the next 24 hours. Speed was keen to stay at Newcastle as we reported yesterday but it seems he will now leave St James' Park.
"I am hopeful that Gary will complete his move later today," Bolton Manager, Sam Allardyce told the club's official website.
"This will be a major coup for us as I know other clubs were interested in signing him."
Speed joins The Trotters boasting the more Premiership appearances than any other play to have played in the competition.
