Goals from Birchall (6 minutes), Simpson (8 minutes), Michael Hughes (25 minutes), De Zeeuw (73 minutes), and Andrews (85 minutes) saw off the challenge(?) of Port Vale, while Birchall (31 minutes), West (43 minutes), and Borrowdale (59 minutes) scored in the victory over Shrewsbury.

It would be no surprise to see two of those that played versus Port Vale and Shrewsbury and who aren't listed, Birchall and Borrowdale, still leave over the summer - unless Coventry City are relegated, in which case Birchall might just find his level again!

Keepers Danny Ireland and Andy Marshall, plus Marcus Hall and Stephen Hughes, have been offered new deals (A huge surprise in the case of Ireland, who must have massively improved over the last few weeks, because each time I've watched him he's looked poor), all subject to agreeing terms with the club. Coventry City will also soon make a decision on David McNamee (Usually impressive when he does make it onto the pitch), who is currently recovering from yet another injury (Hamstring).

With a huge over-haul of playing staff announced, it has also been revealed that Coventry City Reserves will not be entered into a league next season.
