It's LCFC vs LCFC in JP Trophy
By Nathan Jackson
September 6 2008
Lincoln City will travel to Leicester City in the second round of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. It will be City's first ever visit to the Walkers Stadium and it is the toughest draw that the Imps could have gained from the draw. However, if City perform like they did when the teams last met then we're in for a treat.

Lincoln City and Leicester City last met in the pre-season leading to the 2006/7 season. Gareth McAuley returned to Sincil Bank just weeks after leading and found himself 3-0 down at half time. Lee Frecklington, Scott Kerr and Jamie Forrester giving an excellent City the advantage before three second half goals brought Leicester level.

The Imps will be hoping to win their first cup game for three years when the sides meet.

FULL NORTH EAST DRAW

Scunthorpe United vs Grimsby Town

Rotherham United vs Leeds United

Darlington vs Huddersfield Town

Leicester City vs Lincoln City

Perfect draw for me ....... memories of the League Cup 25 odd years ago, what a backs to the wall win at Filbert Street that was!
