We've had some right dross down the years, but none have even come close to being as, for lack of a better word, crap as Jude Stirling. Jude had one talent and that was that he could throw the ball very hard, but we knew he was generally rubbish when he first attempted to kick the ball. He played 6 games for City and I'm not sure what's more surprising, that or the fact that Peterborough and MK Dons both wanted him in their squad.

Gary Taylor-Fletcher went through a name change whilst at Sincil Bank but that didn't change his habit of finding goals. His games:goals ratio was exactly 1 goal in 3 games, scoring 31 goals in his 93 games for the club. GTF was our best player in 2003/4 and was the main reason we made the Playoffs that year. He went off the boil a bit in 2004/5 and was released at the end of that season. He joined Huddersfield and scored the Football League's 500,000th goal before joining Blackpool.

Ciaran Toner was one of the main reasons out 2004/5 season turned around. He put in 17 very competent performances and scored twice before being sacked.

The same can't be said of Steve Torpey. 14 appearances, 14 beads of sweat, 0 goals.

Owain Warlow has made 26 appearances for the Imps and in his third appearance, he got knackered after running 5 metres non-stop. He is one of just two players on this final part of the 93 to still be at the club.

One of his fellow youth team graduates was Phil Watt. Phil played twice for City before being released in 2007/8.

And now it's that time again. Dave Wattley joined the Imps from QPR in 2003 and Keith Alexander said he was an excellent youngster and a brilliant prospect for this club to have.........4 appearances later and he was released.

Simon Weaver's career at Sincil Bank was effectively over when Jamie McCombe joined the club. Simon played 51 games for the club since this site was created but eventually left for Kidderminster Harriers.

The best goals:games ratio for any player who features in this run down of the 93 players to represent this club in the last 5 years is Spencer Weir-Daley. The striker joined the Imps on loan from Forest in 2006/7, scoring 5 goals in his 11 appearances before returning to the City Ground.

Dean West returned to the club in 2004/5 but looked tremendously out of his depth in the 4 appearances he made before leaving.

Another loanee from Nottingham Forest was Craig Westcarr. He joined the Imps in 2004/5 for a month and scored on his debut against Bury. However, he failed to score in the five games after that and returned to Nottingham Forest.

Aaron Wilford has an identical record to Westcarr, scoring one goal in six games. Aaron was brought to the club in 2003/4 and although he was given a second chance in the following summer, somehow being rejected in favour of Niall McNamara.

1 appearance, 32 minutes, 1 touch of the ball - I present you with Tom Wilkinson.

After being a regular first team regular in the 2002/3 season, Scott Willis played just four games for City in 2003/4 before being released.

Ben Wright joined City just under 12 months ago an went on to have an average of a goal under every three games. His record of 15 goals in 38 games last season made him our leading goalscorer during the 2007/8 season...not bad for a player who didn't play for the first 3 months.

And the 93rd and final member of this club over the last five years is Simon Yeo. Yeo only had one true spell of consistant goalscoring at this club, but it's hard to argue with 41 goals in the 114 appearances he made for the club from 2003/4 onwards. He has faced Yeo several times since then and has failed to score.
