Nat Brown released
By Nathan Jackson
June 26 2008
Nat Brown has left Sincil Bank following the news of Kovacs signing and Sinclair impending. The former Huddersfield defender rarely featured towards the end of his City career and the reaction to the news at "Jacko's Evening" was certainly one that would indicate he wasn't a popular figure with the fans.

Brown joined the Imps from Huddersfield in 2005. He was set to join Shrewsbury Town but Keith Alexander plundered him from under the noses of the Shrews. 106 appearances later and he leaves Sincil Bank with Keith's current side, Macclesfield Town his likely destination.

Nat was a generally popular figure in his first year with the club, scoring some of the most memorable goals over the recent past. However, his defensive frailties soon became apparant and he ended up costing us games. It was at the point that he was replaced by other defenders and Brown never recovered.

At the time of him leaving, Nat Brown was the joint second longest serving player at the club (based on regular appearances for the first team).
