City finalise pre-season list

Peter Jackson has arranged more friendlies for the pre-season. The Imps have trips to Gainsborough, Harrogate and Horncastle to look forward to ahead of the promotion push next season, as well as a mouth-watering home fixture against Premiership side, Aston Villa.

The Imps had originally hoped to host Derby County on July 26th, but that was cancelled due to the two teams being drawn together in the Carling Cup. City will now face an away trip on that day instead, making the trip to Farsley Celtic. City will travel to Gainsborough Trinity a week afterwards before the final pre-season game at Horncastle Town.

The first friendly to be played will be at Harrogate Town.

CITY'S FULL FRIENDLY PROGRAMME (first team only)

11th July - Harrogate Town (Away)

15th July - Aston Villa (Home)

18th July - Sleaford Town (Away)

20th July - Lincoln United (Home - Community Day)

22nd July - Retford (Away)

26th July - Farsley Celtic (Away)

2nd August - Gainsborough Trinity (Away)

6th August - Horncastle Town (Away)

Danny Davison came on trial from Harrogate Railway not Harrogate Town.

I take it most first team players will be rested against Villa, for the big away trip to Sleaford?

it would be a wise move. then again, i'd rest them even more so for the horncastle fixture up at the wong
