Reaction to Jamie Forrester's 2007/8
By Nathan Jackson May 12 2008
Jamie Forrester had a fairly decent 2007/8 season and finished the season on a very respectable 14 goals, he is fully deserving of a new contract. He proved to be one of the most valuable players yet again and surpassed the 35 goal mark during his time with a Lincoln City. Not bad for a player who's legs were apparantly gone according to people on message boards.

Jamie Forrester scored City's first goal of the 2007/8, not that it really mattered at the time due to us already being 4-0 down at the time. There were long periods where it appeared sa though he would never play at Sincil Bank again. However, he has a near ever present all season, missing just 5 games in all competitions. The last time that he wasn't involved in a game was the defeat at Wycombe Wanderers.

I feel that Jamie is one of our best players and certainly the most intelligent on the pitch. His vision has created numerous goals for others during the season and he has formed a fairly decent partnership with Ben Wright.

Jamie was recently offered a new contract and I feel that if he does sign it, then Jamie will again be a vital figure in our promotion push next season.
