City target signs new contract
By Nathan Jackson May 11 2008
Lincoln City's hopes of signing Neil Harvey from Retford United have been given a huge blow after he signed a new contract with the Badgers. Harvey had recently completed a trial at Sincil Bank and had impressed many, but now he looks set to remain with Retford after agreeing to stay at the club.

Harvey scored a stunner against Grimsby in the reserves several weeks ago, volleying in from the corner of the box. It certainly caught the attention of all those in Sincil Bank at the time and impressed Iffy Onuora enough to offer Harvey to join the club during the summer months for a longer trial.

However, Harvey has instead agreed to stay at Retford United for the 2008/9 season. The Barbadian striker could still be at Sincil Bank next season but the new contract now means that City will be forced to pay Retford a fee if they want to secure the services of Harvey.
