Reaction to Paul Green's 2007/8
By Nathan Jackson May 10 2008
Paul Green was the offical Player of the Season at Sincil Bank and he has been an ever present under Peter Jackson, not bad for his first full season of first team football. Green won many plaudits for his general level of performance in 2007/8 and he will be a central figure in our push for promotion next season.

Paul Green won many awards during the 2007/8 season, the main one of course being crowned the Player of the Season. It was just reward for Green who had a great first full season as a Lincoln City player. He vastly improved on 2006/7 and the fact he was the joint highest appearance holder (with Jamie Forrester) shows his value to the side.

Even though he was part of a defence that conceded 90 goals this season, he still had a great season. He has been an ever present in the Imps squad after Peter Jackson became the manager at Sincil Bank after being a bit-part player under Schofield and Deehan.

The only problem with Paul Green is that he has a tendency to wander out of his position and this leads to the opposition scoring from his side of the pitch. However, this could be down to simple tactics of him constantly switching over to the left side of the defence.

Despite the above, I feel that Green can only get better as he gets older. He still has a 16/17 years to go in his career and I think he will find himself at a Championship club in that time.
