ENGLAND RUGBY TEAM PLAY FOR THE NICK DUNCOMBE MEMORIAL FUND

The Nick Duncombe Memorial Fund, set up in memory of the NEC Harlequins and England Scrum Half who tragically passed away last Feb 2003 at the age of 21 years, will be the recipient of a new charity scheme based around England’s scoresheets in Australia this autumn.

For every point scored by Clive Woodward’s men, Zurich, sponsor of the England Team in Australia 2003, have pledged to donate £10 to the fund which was set up to finance future youth development projects and for a statue/physical memorial in Nick’s memory at The Stoop, the home ground of NEC Harlequins.

Tony Copsey, Managing Director of NEC Harlequins, said “Nick was an amazingly talented young scrum half and if circumstances had been different he may well have been part of the England set up this autumn.  We plan to use the donations to his fund to set up a permanent memorial to Nick here at The Stoop”.
