Public voting has begun for the 2008 induction into the IRB Hall of Fame, which will take place later this year at the IRB Awards.

Last year, for the first time, members of the public were invited to cast their vote by email on nominees from three different centuries of rugby and Baron Pierre de Coubertin, Wilson Whinerary, Dr Danie Craven, Gareth Edwards and John Eales were inducted in November in Paris. They joined William Webb Ellis and Rugby School, the first entrants in 2006.

Martin Johnson and Jonah Lomu are two of the 21st Century nominees for the IRB Hall this year.

The IRB Induction Panel has compiled a list of candidates for the 2008 Induction, again divided into three sections:

- 19th Century
- 20th Century

Rugby followers around the world can now vote for a maximum of two candidates from both the 19th Century and 20th Century and one from the 21st Century, simply by noting down the reference number(s) of the candidate and emailing halloffame@irb.com.

More information on the voting and nominees to be found at   www.irb.com

There is far too much talk about good ball and bad ball.
In my opinion, good ball is when you have possession and bad ball is when the opposition have it.

Tad unfair to Jonah. He changed the face of world rugby, but in 20th century. How much competitive rugby has he played in 21st?
