Our resident critic Ed Budge looked at our New Head Coach Brian Ashton and the squad he has selected.
Time, they say, is something of which one never seems to have enough. The RFU will tell you this as soon as look at you, and if you mention that four-letter word to new England head-coach Brian Ashton, I'll be surprised if he has enough of it to respond. Frankly, even I don't have time to contemplate whether or not the former attack coach is the right man to lead England to the World Cup. England Rugby as seen by Ed more here

And as the month of January drew on we headed for the first round of the Royal Bank of Scotland Six Nations 2007! England kicked off their challenge against Scotland with the return of the prodigal son Jonny Wilkinson.
Many thought (including myself) that this was a huge gamble, madness even. England vs. Scotland Match Preview
