RFU launches new youth membership

With so many youngsters mad about rugby, the Rugby Football Union (RFU) has launched a new website and junior membership to help young fans get closer to their England heroes. With a happening new website live from today, 1 December, the Junior Supporters Club (JSC) is just the thing for young England rugby fans.
The Junior Supporters Club (JSC) website contains unique content presented in a fun and educational manner. New interactive mascots offer tips and training drill suggestions for budding players, and for those new to the game the rules of rugby are explained. Directions are also given to help fans find their nearest club, so all the theory can be put to the test in a game of tag rugby. Throughout December the new look website will be accessible to everyone on a trial basis. After that, www.rfu.com/jsc will have a guest area alongside the main members’ only site.
Said England captain Martin Corry,
“rugby is a great game for everyone. If you’re an England fan, joining the JSC is a great way to learn more about the sport”
England full back Josh Lewsey added,
“members get special insider info on what it’s like to be an England player, like how we train and what we eat. JSC is definitely the best club for England fans.”
The JSC aims to become one of the most visited junior sports based websites in England and the RFU hope it will increase the numbers of children actively participating or interested in the game of rugby.
Said Paul Vaughan, RFU Business Operations Director,
“We wanted to create a new club for eight to 12-year-olds that was fun, interactive and educational and we are very excited about the new website and membership package. We’ve conducted detailed focus groups, competitor analysis and youth insight research developing the new JSC offer. The key was to create a really strong online presence so the new JSC website has a modern, individual identity that responds to this important youth market and engages the future of England rugby.”
JSC membership costs just £28 and is available from www.rfu.com/jsc.
As well as a unique JSC members only backpack stuffed with fantastic gear, members also get a regular newsletter and the once in a lifetime chance to become an England mascot and walk out on the famous Twickenham turf alongside the England team.
