The vote on this website up until the New Year will be to vote for the blues Player of the Year 2004. There are 15 players to choose from with the 15 being shortlisted because of the amount of games they have been involved in. 
The players shortlisted are Jamie Clapham, Stephen Clemence, Kenny Cunningham, David Dunn, Mikael Forssell, Julian Gray, Emile Heskey, Stern John, Damien Johnson, Stan Lazaridis, Mario Melchiot, Robbie Savage, Maik Taylor, Olivier Tebilly, and Matthew Upson.
The favourites for the Player of the Year title are bound to be Matthew Upson, Kenny Cunningham, Mikael Forssell and Robbie Savage. All of whom are massive fan favourites and have made a big contribution to blues success over the past year.
Upson and Cunningham have formed one of the best defensive partnerships in the country with Upson getting recognised for his form with senior England caps and Cunningham being made captain of the Republic of Ireland.
Mikael Forssell although only a loan signing from Chelsea scored 19 goals in the 2003/2004 season and was voted by many as Blues player of last season.
Robbie Savage was one of Steve Bruce's first signings and has been a firm favourite at the club over the last three years. Is known for his passionate and energetic displays and is currently the clubs top scorer with four goals.
