A potential 6 of Birmingham City's new signings could play a part in our opening game of the league season . We face a rather average Colchester United squad who haven't made any noticable signings and have a squad that is more than capable of relegation and have appointed Parkinsons former 'Yes' man in charge. Although they might not have the quality but one thing they do have is a fighting team spirit which on there day can cause upsets . Steve Bruce described Colchester as a "Potential bannana skin" . The game will see Dann's having to face his ex club in the opening day of the season .

The only notable absentee from Birmingham is Jaidi who has not been considered , Colchester's only missing player is Marino Keith
