Southampton Play-Off Bound
By www.bluenose.tk
July 25 2006
In part 8 of our IN FOCUS series we look at Southampton as they hope to return to the Premiership at the second attempt. Although they had a disappointing season last term the look stronger this season.

NOTE : Remember this is only my point of view and i do not know your club inside out so if there's minor things wrong it's not the end of the world.

Manager : George Burley

Key Player(s) : B Wright-Phillips , Pele and Rasiak

Tipped by the bookies for : Auto Promotion.

05/06 season : Last season Southampton had a crap first season as most teams do when they are relegated  . Harry Redknapp returned to south coast rivals Portsmouth because he is a arse and that opened a vacant position which George Burley was appointed. Southampton finished 12th . 6 places away from the play-off zone but 20 points also . They finished the season with 18 wins , 9 at home and 9 away.

This season : Southampton have signed some great players and have a great stadium and fan base , so if Burley can get the players playing to the best of there ability i have no doubt Southampton will be there or thereabouts.

They’ll finish higher if : Rasiak can score 20+ goals , and if B Wright-Phillips can chip in with 15+

What www.bluenose.tk Predict's : 6th .
