In part 4 of our IN FOCUS series we look at the 04/05 promoted team Sheffield Wednesday. Finishing 19th place last season and avoiding relegation surprised the whole Championship last season. And Wednesday themselves.

Manager : Paul Sturrock

Key Player :
Kenny Lunt

Tipped by the bookies for : lower table

05/06 season : Wednesday provided a shock last season avoiding relegation , but doing it with games in spare . they finished 19th and 10 points above Crewe (the last relegated team) . The owls ended there season with a 2-0 win over Derby who finished 2 points behind Sheffield.

This season : Sheffield Wednesday have made a few signings but mostly from lower league teams apart from Yoan Folly (who has massive potential)  . The owls seem to be building for the future of which looks bright and i think most of there fans would accept avoiding relegation again this term.

They’ll finish higher if : Marcus Tudgay and Deon Burton can find some fine goal scoring form of which they do have but doing the business is a totally different matter . With Tugay out for 3 months there's a lot of pressure on Burton to score at least 15 goals this season.

What www.bluenose.tk Predict's : 21st Avoiding relegation on the last day . As the league is getting tighter and the teams are getting richer.
