Scott Parker has not trained with Charlton and will not be playing at all against Everton, according to Addicks boss Alan Curbishley, as the midfielder is upset about not being allowed to join Chelsea.
"We've a small squad and it's a bit smaller without Parker, but we'll get on with that," Curbishley told Sky Sports News.
"He's not going to play at Everton if he's in the same frame of mind as he is at the moment.
"I understand his predicament. That's the life of a footballer - it doesn't always fall as you'd like.
"I just think obviously there's lots of speculation at the moment. Chelsea made a bid early on in the week. It's an unacceptable situation for us.
"We turned it down out of hand. We're not interested. That should be the end of it, as far as we're concerned. We live to fight another day.
"£15 million is silly money because it ain't enough. We, as a football club, are in a position where we can't stop people bidding for players.
"That's life but there's no reason why we have to take Chelsea's bid. It's the same as Fulham (with Louis Saha)."
