Daniel Nardiello and Mark Lynch were on target for the United reserve side, as they drew 2-2 with Sunderland. Ricky Sbragia's line-up included South African international Quinton Fortune, who is desperate to impress to get back into first-team contention. Match Report

The United reserve side have taken 4 points from their opening 3 league fixtures, following a 2-2 draw with Sunderland at Moss Lane.

The Black Cats took the lead courtesy of a Craig James free-kick on 4 minutes, but Daniel Nardiello levelled the scores with a sharp finish from the edge of the penalty area mid-way through the first-half.

Alan Tate's own-goal handed the advantage back to the visitors, but Mark Lynch earned United a point with a neat tap-in with only 10 minutes to go.
