Joins Oldham
20-year-old Lee, who has made three first-team appearances for United, has already found a new club having agreed to a three-year deal with Lancashire rivals Oldham in May.
Lee's three appearances for United all came in the 2006/2007 campaign. He scored as a substitute in the League Cup against Crewe and was also involved in the surprise 1-0 defeat at Southend. His league debut came in May as a weakened Reds side drew 0-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, midfielder Jones leaves United having made five senior appearances for the club. Four of these were in the League Cup - and the other against Burton Albion in the F.A Cup. He's had spells on loan with Colchester, Barnsley and Yeovil and also went on trial at Burnley so is expected to find a new club easily.
Barnes, who spent short spells on loan at Chesterfield and Shrewsbury, made one appearance under Fergie as a substitute against Crewe. Evans and Lea failed to break into United's first-team at any point - but will both be confident of finding a new club lower down the leagues.
The club have also confirmed that academy scholars Chris Fagan and Conor McCormack will not be staying with the club. The latter has already been linked with Italian Serie B side Triestina.
Good luck to all the lads looking for new clubs.
