Manchester United have had a £5million bid accepted for Cardiff City youngster Aaron Ramsey. The 17-year-old is regarded as a superb prospect for the future despite notching up just twenty-two appearances for the Championship club. United face competition from Arsenal and Everton for the player’s signature.

Ramsey has reportedly agreed personal terms with United - but is still listening to offers from the three other clubs as he mulls over a big-money move.

The 17-year-old is a versatile midfielder who made his name as Cardiff secured a surprise place in the F.A Cup final.

Sir Alex Ferguson's was won over after the player put in a dazzling performance for the Bluebirds in the quarter-final at Middlesbrough.

However, Arsenal and Everton both made £5million bids - so the player's future is far from certain. Liverpool have also shown plenty of interest but are yet to have a formal bid accepted.

If the player chooses Old Trafford, Ramsey would be United's first summer signing as Fergie looks to strengthen his European Cup-winning squad.

The youngster will make a decision on his future over the weekend.
