Mike is a strong defender who won lots of admiration from League scouts at his time at Runcorn. Brought in as cover for Matt Hadrell who was on his way to Macclesfield Town.

Just before his move to Rivacre Park he won a England National XI cap in a 3-1 defeat against Belgium. Injury has kept him out since the begining of the season, but when back will prove a nightmare for opposing attackers.
