Ralph Leaves For Vics

The Manchester-born shot stopper was part of Tranmere Rovers youth Alliance Cup winning side before moving to Kidsgrove Athletic. Ralph spent just a few weeks at Clough Hall before a swap deal saw him exchange goal posts with Chris Holmes. Holmes however, is now Andy's goalkeeping coach at Vics.

In the 14 short months Ralph spent at Rivacre Park he established himself a Vauxhall great when at 19 he saved a Paul Furlong penalty and watched a Karl Connelly spot kick sail wide as Vauxhall had a night to remember at Loftus Road in the F.A Cup first round proper.

Ralph, now 20, played in all but one match before his move. Steve Hilton took over for the Cheshire Senior Cup tie against Alsager Town that saw The Motormen come out 4-1 winners.

He played 54 games for Vauxhall and in those games he kept nine clean sheets.

Ralph made a good debut for his new club by keeping a clean sheet against Gravesend & Northfleet.

Andy Ralph will be unavailable for selection against Halifax on Sunday as he played in the two F.A Cup qualifying rounds previously for Vauxhall.
