| The match got off to a great start, within a minute of kick off Motors were one up.
A Peter Cumiskey cross from the left was handled by Bangors right back Peter Hoy.
Cumiskey stepped to slot it past Bangors keeper Phil Priestly, to score his second
penalty of the pre-season. Moments later Lee Hunt should of the visitors level when
he missed an open goal from the edge of the area, after Motors shot stopper Andy Ralph
failed to clear a back pass.
Soon After Peter Cumiskey found himself in a good position only to be denied by the top of the post. Almost immediately after "Wacker" found in front of goal again only twice much to the relief of the visitors he struck the top of the bar and the crossbar. Half Time: Vauxhall Motors 1-0 Bangor City A slower start to the second half saw Peter Davenport's Bangor City draw level after 17 minutes in, when Kenny Burgess picked out Gary Reay on the edge of the peanalty area, who then struck an excellent shot into the bottom right hand corner of The Motors goal. Bangors hopes of winning the game was put to the test when Ricky Evans was dimissed after 67 minutes for foul and abusive language. Vauxhall capitilised on the one-man advantage and two minutes later wrapped up their last pre-season fixture at Rivacre Park when Terry Fearns, who had been on the pitch only 15 minutes, crossed from the left that fell nicely in the path of Derek Ward who placed it past Priestly. Full Time : Vauxhall Motors 2-1 Bangor City Alvin summarised the game by telling The Ellesmere Port Pioneer, "I was disappionted with our first half display, but we improved after the break. Our fitness levels are very good but we've got to improve our sharpness when it comes to taking our goalscoring opportunities."

| Motors next face the long trip to Lyme Valley Parkway to face Newcastle
Town. Alvin McDonald will want another good performance out of his players ahead
of the new campaign.
Vauxhall Motors finish their pre-season fixtures by returning to Cheshire to take on local West Cheshire League outfit Christleton on Tuesday 12th August. Alvin McDonald has secured the services of trailist Midfielder Anton Lally. |
