Match Preview: Vauxhall Motors Vs Macclesfield Town

The Motormen's pre-season friendly with the most recent history, after beating QPR in one of the biggest giant killers of all time, Vauxhall travelled to Moss Rose and was just 8 minutes away from being in the hat for the third round draw, until two late (and undeserving) goals led to Vauxhall to just watch the third round. The match was set up as part of the Matt Haddrell deal, Matt made the switch in March, just before the transfer deadline. Although The Silkmen are without last seasons top scorer Kyle Lightbourne he had to be released as part of cost cutting measures for the cash-strapped Division 3 outfit. The 2 teams could play against each in the 2004/05 Conference if Motors go up and Macc go down this season.
