Haddrell joins the Slikmen

Matt Haddrell left the club last week to join Macclesfield Town, the team that knocked us out the FA Cup in the second round last December for a record £20,000.
Some solid performances in this seaons great FA Cup run and the league inspired David Moss to swoop for the young defender,21. Haddrell was a instrumental this season and forged a good partenership with on-loan Danny Collins and keeper Andy Ralph.

Alvin McDonald had signed a centre back partener for Matt, just a month before his own shock departure to the Silkmen. Michael Tomlinson came in from Runcorn for £6,000 at the end of Febuary.

Matt played in the reserve game in mid-week which saw Macclesfield claw their way back form 2 down to earn a point 2-2.

Haddrell scored 7 goals in 46 apperances this season, and was a key figure for the future at this club.
