Southend United forward Wayne Gray today denied being greedy, despite being offered a new contract by the Shrimpers.
The speedy former Wimbledon forward has failed to agree a deal with the Championship bound club.
But Gray insists it has nothing to do with his own wage demands.

"It not the money that's an issue ," he said.
"It's just that at 25 years of age I wanted a bit more security than just another year and I don't feel wanted or appreciated either.
"Southend offered me the same terms as they did when I joined them in League Two and I thought I deserved a bit of a reward for what I had done with them.
"I wasn't asking for a big rise but I got some vital goals at some vital stages and would like to think I contributed to the two promotions we had as well. That's why I thought I should have had a bit of an increase."
Gray joined Blues in the summer of 2004 and has scored 22 goals in 65 starts during his two seasons with Steve Tilson's side.
