Garden Village surrendered a two-goal lead in this Bank Holiday contest against promotion hopefuls Croesyceiliog but showed great improvement from Saturday's defeat against Morriston in the game at Woodland Road.

Bob Lloyd made several changes to the side that played a part in the derby defeat, which included a first league start for youngster Matthew Cannon, and it paid dividends as the visitors took a two-goal lead into half-time; Owen Williams and Ashley Richards the goalscorers.

The hosts did pull one back from a corner but Village didn't hold back as David Rimmer restored the two-goal cushion with his fifth goal of the season, but two late Croesyceiliog goals broke Garden Village hearts as they were on course for a first away victory against a top-six side this season.

This result, though, has taken us back above local rivals Morriston into seventh spot on goal difference while Croesyceiliog still occupy third-place, five points behind ENTO Aberaman but with three games in hand.
