Garden Village significantly increased their goal difference as they strolled to victory over Merthyr Saints at a bitterly cold Stafford Common.

Dayle Selvage, Paul Dickie and a David Rimmer penalty put the home side 3-0 up inside the opening 12 minutes, while Ashley Richards all but ended the match as a contest on the stroke of half-time with another spot-kick.

Richards scored his second shortly after the re-start when a mistake from visiting 'keeper Jason Pendry allowed him to slot the ball into an empty net while the sixth and final goal came 14 minutes from time when Nigel Rogers headed his first goal for the club.
