After winning both the drives and constructors championships in 2005 and 2006 Renault finished a disapointing 3rd in 2007 but Renaults Pat Symonds claims that after a difficult year the team can bounce back and be competative again. 

Symonds, "I can take no end of positives from this year even though it has been an incredibly disappointing year. I've learnt so many new things, lots of new procedures that we have had to do to get ourselves out of the trouble that we are in," 

Symonds then went on to say that third position in the championship was a decent result but the team can bounce back and again become the top of the pile. 

"I'm very proud of the fact that we made the best of what we had. We finished third in the Championship and a lot of people would dream of doing that."
