Shaymen booted out of LVD Vans Trophy

League One Scunthorpe have an easy time against home side Halifax Town and ended the unbeaten streak that the Shaymen enjoyed this season.
The Shaymen Vans Trophy dreams are dashed as League One Scunthorpe come to the Shay and score 3 in an easy victory.

Scunthorpe scored nine minutes in as Billy Sharp put it in the net. It was 1-0 Scunthorpe at half time.

In the second half Andrew Keogh put the match out of reach and Tommy Johnson scored the third goal.
Halifax Town scored one goal by Matthew Doughty with two minutes to go.

Halifax: Butler, Ingram, Atherton, Young, Doughty, Midgley, Foster, Jacobs (Thompson 65), Bowler (Killeen 6), Senior (Mansaram 64), Forrest.
