Is there interest in Halifax Town or portland
It has been a long time. After a successful season for Portland and Hialifax Town in limbo with ownership I felt it was time to see if anyone would even view this page. From the States side watching the drama going on in Halifax Town was very interesting. It looks like it still is on going. I do hope that it works out for the fans as they are the one's that would suffer if the team were to fold. On the flip side the team in portland gained a new owner who has deep pockets and has fell for the Timbers. The new owner owns the baseball team as well so you wonder why he made the investment. Merrit Paulson is the new owner who seems to have the energy to make things work. It does help the his Dad is the Tresure of the United States. After a bad 2006 season the Timbers ended 2007 in 2nd place due to the efforts of new general Manager Gavin Wikinson who was the leagues coach of the year. The Timbers will host Toranto of the MLS next Sunday. I see that Halifax Town drew 1-1 with Altershot. Anyway will see what the fute brings. Cheers Kurt
