A crowd of 2,121 watched this Craven Park thriller. Oldham produced a much better performance and were unlucky not to get something out of the game. A draw looked likely until Rovers Nick Pinkney scored a controversial try with 4 minutes to go. There was not time left for Oldham to stage a comeback.
