ORISA Meeting

Minutes of a meeting held on Wednesday 29th January at Clayton Arms

The meeting opened at 8.15pm with Mr D Patterson in the chair.

PRESENT
Mr & Mrs Patterson, Mrs Ogden, Mr Firth, Mr Dudley, Mr Cockcroft, Mr Lowe, Mr Royales, Mr Hannen, Mr Stott, Mrs Wild.

APOLOGIES
Mr Ogden, Mrs Syne, Mrs Rowlands, Mr Heap, Mr Sedgwick, Mr Plevin, Mr Maloney, Mr & Mrs Salway, Mrs Mullen.

The minutes were passed around to members and read with no amendments being made.

MATTERS ARISING

1 It was reported that David had received a phone call from Mr Walker about the three caps, which Mr Heap was giving to the heritage trust. David said he would contact Mr Heap as soon as the photo date was given.
2 Sylvia said she had spoken to Joanne about the database and she was going to see Joanne soon to get the database up to date.
3 Sylvia reported that we were still having trouble with the website and would talk to Ian at a later date.
4 Sylvia said that David had spoken to Colin Morris about a fans forum and a date needs to be sorted out soon.
5 Sylvia reported that Zuttis were doing a price for shirts, but it was suggested that we get 50 items to give to Zuttis.
6 It was suggested that the pool and darts be done at the Salford home game, which is on the 3rd August. David said he would ask Patrick if it would be ok. David then said he would talk to Ray Hill of Salford to see if we could raffle a shirt.
7 Sylvia said the coach for all away games with K.Matt is all sorted.
8 The golf tournament is still all right.
9 Sylvia asked Neil if he had heard anything about the London marathon he said it looked as though it had not been accepted so it was suggested we look nearer home.
10 Sylvia said that the York race trip be left in abeyance as David was not able to report on it.
11 Sylvia said that David had spoken to Patrick and we can do raffles or name cards in the Clayton Arms.
12 Sylvia mentioned the fun day and reported that Waterhead had said we could use their facilities. It was also suggested we do something after the Salford game.
13 Sylvia reported that the hall of fame player’s reunion should be left until a later date.
14 Sylvia suggested we leave the mixed sportsman’s dinner discussion until after Easter.
15 Sylvia said she had heard nothing from Brad about Bradford Bulls, Kevin said he would see Brad about it.

TREASURERS REPORT
Neil reported that after the last meeting we gave Steve Molloy £500 for their trip to Spain and now it leaves £772.50 in the bank.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

1 Sylvia said the coach trip to London Broncos would cost £600.
2 Sylvia reported on the Cardiff weekend and said that she had 3 seats left. Sylvia said Mr Maloney wanted one and the other 2 would be raffled or advertised.
3 David reported that we had seen Mr Hamilton to see if we could build bridges and David said that Mr Hamilton would have to speak to the other directors and would get back to us. It was suggested that we should have a letter from Mr S Molloy.

There was no further business, so the meeting was closed at 9-45pm
