When no-one else would give him a chance the man at the top Sandy Stewart gave him an opportunity and Martin grasped it with both hands.

Mad Mental is his name and football is his game, he came to us with a reputation and an injury and has done well to prove to the Airdrie fans that he still has it and in abundance.

He has played 21 games in the Diamond and has taken it upon himself to score four goals along away, He has performed well especially when it comes to our biggest rivals Partick thistle one of his ex-clubs and has developed a formidable partnership with Marvyn Wilson in mid-field. Speaking to his campaign manager we  believed that Martin "has actually made Marvyn look good"
