We were P*sh today, the Ref was a complete Cock.

Another result ground out today though for the Champions Elect biggrin.gif

certainly the worse set of officials I've seen this season. God knows what they were all seeing at times!

Crap performance second half. Played the whole game with ten men due to the performance of Latapy - my bro said to me after the game he won't need to get showered. Yogi's decision to take Duffy off instead of Latapy was perplexing to say the least unless Duffy had an injury. Still don't feel the forwards are tracking back enough to help the midfield and for the first time ever I was delighted to see Scally come on.

Airdrie? Well can be aggrieved not to get a point but perhaps only have themselves to blame. 6 men on 3 and couldn't take advantage. Gow and McLaren are clearly excellent players and outstanding prospects but have a lot to learn still I think.

Great game today, showed Championship quality!

If we went "dogs of war" we would have blew them away. In the end we went for flair got caught out a wee bit, but still won.

Back on the Booze and tasting as good as ever! biggrin.gif

Will gladly take the 3 points from a close game against an improving Airdrie side.

Thought the Bairns were a bit foxed, especially Pedro, up front as Airdrie's defensive line put in a prodigious shift closing down the usually free running Bairns forward line. However the boy Darryl fortunately managed to get free and do the business nonetheless. smile.gif

Airdrie's back line actually impressed me throughout, more so than their front runners, Gow (No 10?) and McLaren (Skinhead winger?) only came onto a game later on. Oweny might just be suffering from the ravages of time now.

Best for us were my MOtM, Scotty, Fergie and John O'Neil.

Oh and that was about the worst display of pedantic, confusing and erratic refereeing I have seen for a long time. mad.gif

I think to be fair, even though Airdrie were a lot better than us today, they didn't create much more in terms of good attempts at goal.

I can think Airdrie hitting the post, Gow forcing a good save from Fergie, and Fergie rushing out to the feet of McLaren to stop him scoring, but other than that there wasn't much clear cut. There was a lot of balls into the box, but James and Campbell got rid of most of them. We didn't have much either, but we got the goal, and luckily we held on. I think 6 or 7 more wins and we will have a points tally that won't be caught this season. I can't see anyone else hitting 68pts or more.

On another note, if Airdrie can keep that team together, they will win the league next year, although saying that Ross County have impressed me a couple of times this season, and there 8th huh.gif

Airdrie were robbed today. I was very impressed with Gow (not his doo though laugh.gif ) and McLaren.

They had 8 attempts to our 6. and 5 corners to our 3. Possesion was 50.5% to 49.5% in our favour.

Yep, I'm a sad fecker laugh.gif

PS. 97 minutes played ohmy.gif

We had to grind this one out and we did it effectively. Airdrie played very well and their fans rightly applauded them off the pitch at the end. More performances like that and we could be looking at them challenging for Third or even Second (assuming we don't slip up).

Glad we only have to play them once more though. Shows how far they've came when you consider we humped them 5-0 and 3-1 not too long ago - their gaffer has done a fantastic job since.

Merry xmas all......Well I dont think I have witnessed a one sided half like I did today. Airdrie 2nd half gave us the boaby big style. I was impressed with Gow and McLaren, Gow I dont think will be there long. I would take Lovering as well as them two in a minute. I said at 50ish min that Coyle hadnt kicked a ball which is a dangerous statement but after 97mins (cheers Ruggy) he still didnt kick a ball as with Latapy. I said to my pal pre game that if there was one player who maybe had a merry Krimbo it would be Latapy. Fergie or Oneil I think still deserved MOM and I still think Falkirk missed Christie not playing laugh.gif laugh.gif

Bring on Lambie to the slaughter and the fife skum wink.gif wink.gif

I agree Airdrie were worth a point yesterday, they worked hard and were a bit unfortunate, only brilliant goalkeeping and poor finishing stopped them from picking up a point. Falkirk didn't play at all in the second half and didn't seem to know how to change things around when we had the ball. In saying that big Danny missed a couple of snips that he would normally have put away and a second goal would have relaxed Falkirk.

Fergie, O'Neil and McKenzie were superb and I thought Duffy looked more like himself but Latapy, Pedro, McBreen, Campbell and Lawrie all had howlers. Still 3 points from a match against good opposition when playing badly isn't bad at all. tongue.gif

Thought we totally robbed airdrie as they deserved a point at the very least. Our goal came against the run of play and Airdrie dominated the second half. Fergie made a number of quality stops and i'd say him and o'neil were our best players.

Yogi's subs again raised an eyebrow and how he missed the fact that we were getting slaughtered in the midfield is beyond me.

However, we did get the win(just) and that shows our mettle and title credentials. Delighted with the win.

As for Airdrie, Gow looked good but very greedy and mclaren looked good in spells too. Have to say, for the second time this season i thought marvyn wilson was there best player ( blink.gif ).

Anyway, 14pts clear, and having a laugh !! biggrin.gif

Merry christnas everyone!! biggrin.gif
