Clan Chief
It was disappointing yet inevitable that our fine run of four consecutive victories had to come to an end in the week when it was announced that Sandy was awarded the manager of the month.
We were getting into the habit of winning and I for one was expecting another victory over the Saintees but there was a setback even before a ball was kicked when it emerged that the Diamonds would be without the services of the influential Hardie and Gow.
This meant that Jeromme made his long awaited return to the starting eleven and Dunn filled in for Hardie.
These two justified their inclusion as they both had the best chances of a boring match. Dunn with a stunning free kick that was brilliantly saved and Veraille with a superb volley, which crashed of the right-hand post.
In all honesty the match was a bit of a snore draw as both sets of players cancelled each other out. The ref must share the blame in making this contest a bit of a bore as he continually interrupted play with his inept actions
as he awarded free kicks every time there was contact made by opposing players. Mr Richmond’s performance was more akin to a basketball ref than a football official.
