Its not often a team has to play against 12 men but that’s what the Diamonds had to face on Saturday afternoon. Mr Dallas, the man in black played his part in a swindle JR would have been proud of when he ignored a blatant handball and allowed play to continue which resulted in the Saints taking the lead. The performance of the allegedly best ref in the country was nothing short of abysmal.

Even though the Buddies had the extra man we still managed to overcome the team with the best defensive record in the division with a goal from Hardy and a brace for the oldest man on the park.

This was a match that at one point could have went either way but I’m sure that even the most dyed in the wool bud would have to agree that we deserved the three points due to our second half display and in particular the winning goal from the man that all our opponents love to hate, Old King Coyle.

Our victory over the Paisley Saints takes our winning sequence to four the question on every Diamonds lips is; can we make it five against the Saints from Perth next week?

I thought that was magic (after a slow start for us)
Good game ! Good Game!

We defo deserved full points and missed a few good chances!

Also the goals against- one was a hollis howler and one was a Dallas disaster (punani!). We could have had a clean sheet!

Never mind 3 points! And what a buzz! lovin it!

It just keeps gettin better every week. Reminds me a bit like the run we had last season. Not to get carried away though!

Proud to be a Diamond.

thought that martin Hardie and Coyle had a great game and with marv digging in as well we were the only team that looked liked winning, just hope that this form can continue and we move up the league a bit, also the last 2 games have been ref'd by a grade 1 official then that is a joke cos they were p!sh and if managers complains then they are fined etc for having an opinion what happened to free speech and all that but well done to every1 today

Humo

Can't deny that today was an excellent game, and credit must go to Saint Mirren for their efforts. With 15-20 minutes to go I'd have quite happily settled for a point, but all credit to the team, they plugged on and got a magnificent result. To be fair, I think St Mirren will feel aggrieved to leave with nothing at all, as they did contribute to the game.

PS; It's not like me at all, but I thought Marvyn Wilson was outstanding today, with not a mistake in sight, closely folowed by Goal King Coyle. Here's hoping they can continue like this for some time to come.
