Ross County Vs Airdrie preview 19/11/04
By Chris Mac November 19 2004
Our away trip to Dingwall and Ross County may have a slight doubt, but here is the match preview to give you a little taster of tomorrows game.

Preview For Saturday, 18th August 2004

Ross County

V

Airdrie

 Alex Smith

Sandy Stewart

Well after the fantastic report on the official site from Sandy Stewart how do I top that and keep you interested?

For anyone who missed the interview click here

First it seems as though we will hopefully be continuing with the same team that won so easily against Clyde last week, Sandy I believe has a few last minute fitness checks to carry out before the game but hopefully we should be able to continue with the same squad.

Our little niggles I think could be Mark McGeown with his pulled muscle in his back and maybe Mark Roberts who was taken off early in last weeks game. Something I have noticed is that Sandy seems to have a tendency to keep his team selection under his shirt until the last possible moment so I could be totally wrong in my observations.

Otherwise the team are looking to put two back to back wins together and are enthusiastic about our trip north. Out last match against Ross County saw us lose 2 Vs. 1 and our goal scorer was Stephen McKeown.

Please remember there is a 9:ooam pitch inspection tomorrow morning so any early starters be warned.

 Opponents News

Much the same as ourselves Ross County have had a hit and miss season, beaten finalist in the Bells Challenge cup has been a bonus for the team but the league form has meant we have the chance to leap frog them if we win.

Alan Smith is once again looking for three points from the game and with this in mind will make very few changes to his team for tomorrows game. Ross County have only managed to win once at home this season so we can go north with some confidence.

 Ref Review

Craig Mackay

Games: 10 Yellow Cards: 15 Red Cards: 1

Does anyone remember a cold dark Tuesday night in Arbroath back in December 2003 a 1 Vs 1 draw with many songs concerning smokies, well the referee that night was Mr Mackay. There were five bookings including Docherty, McKeown and Ronald.

 Prediction

We need the win to continue the confidence that was left behind after last weeks game so I am predicting a 2 Vs 1 win.
