By The Stomp Team Date: 16/11/2000 Reports suggest today that Steve Archibald could be in place as new Airdrie owner by next weekend. It now looks like he has settled his differences with North Lanarkshire Council and paved the way for a speedy takeover.


Takeover Imminent

Reports Today suggest that Steve Archibald could be in place as new owner of Airdrie FC by next weekend.

Steve has had ongoing talks with NLC and It looks as though they have come up with an agreement on the plans for the re-development of the old Craigneuk Parks.

Any such deal to take over the club would also have to be ratified with the clubs creditors but it looks like they have all agreed terms now.

With all the creditors on-side and an agreement with the council set, KPMG are in a position now that they surely cannot put the skids under Steve's takeover bid, If they do then there must be an ulterior motive behind them.
