Date: 7/11/2000 Steve Archibald emerged from the latest round of meetings in a better mood. The meeting with NLC, Bill Barr and KPMG could have hammered the final nail in the coffin but we understand that an agreement was struck with all parties.

As far as we can gather at the stomp, Steve had a positive meeting with the other interested parties surrounding the takeover bid and NLC leader Jim McCabe stated that they had identified ways of completing the work surrounding the stadium which should result in the survival of Airdrie FC.

We will not pass judgement on this meeting just now as we are trying to find out what Steve's angle on it is. We do however know that he was happier this morning with the way things are looking.

As soon as we can get a statement from Steve we will post it immediately.
